Our Story

Rich wanted this business to perform well for his customers and workers while being better for the environment, neighbors, community, and state. This laundromat is recognized by the City of Lexington, KY Green Check program for its sustainability improvements in the following areas:

• Water conservation and quality
• Waste reduction and recycling
• Sustainable purchasing practices

24 Hr Meadowthorpe Laundromat connects to the surrounding community and is always interested in working with neighbors to continue to grow the sustainable message. Since 2017 we have earned the bronze and silver level certification with the City of Lexington, KY Green Check Program*.
Green Check is a program that recognizes businesses for green initiatives and helps them expand sustainability efforts. They helped us go beyond the water, energy conservation, and recycling efforts we had established.

It being the only 24 hour laundromat in Lexington is kind of amazing in and of itself. It's something that our community truly needs.
